The goal of NGI Assure is to support projects that include reusable components for the Next Generation Internet in terms of source and integrity of identities, identifiers, data, cyber-physical systems, service components and processes.
The Open Call starts on 1 February 2022 at 12:00 CET (Brussels time) and ends on 1 April 2022 at 12:00 CEST (Brussels time). Applicants can apply via one of the following websites:https://ngi-assure-opencall.fundingbox.com or https://nlnet.nl/propose. New calls will be open until the available budget (EUR 5,624,000) is fully used.
Who can apply: Anyone who can make a significant contribution to NGI Assure can apply, whether they are an individual or any type of organization that wants to improve and further develop Distributed Ledger, advanced blockchain and related technologies assistive technologies.
Types of activities:
• Research.
• Design and development of open source software and open hardware.
• Validation or constructive testing of existing or novel technical solutions.
• Software engineering aimed at adapting to new areas of use or improving the quality of software.
• Formal security evidence, security audits, software testing setup and design, and continuous integration.
• Documentation for researchers, developers and end users.
• Understanding user requirements and improving usability/integration design.
Budget: The exact amount of financial support offered is based on the projected costs and estimated value of the proposed project. The final amount is agreed in the Memorandum of Understanding between NLnet and the grantee. The maximum amount that can be awarded per recipient over the lifetime of NGI Assure is EUR 200,000.
