Recruitment for "Katowice Energy Innovation Challenge" has been extended! You can apply until May 9 inclusive
The recruitment for the "Katowice Energy Innovation Challenge" has been extended. It is a challenge for innovative projects from around the world prepared by UN-Habitat and the city of Katowice. The three best projects will take part in the acceleration program organized by the Rawa.Ink City Entrepreneurship Incubator and in a special show that will take place during the World City Forum in Katowice.
Until May 9, projects may be submitted in the Katowice Energy Challenge. During the workshop, the challenge of finding solutions in the field of energy management and energy transformation arose. Everything on the example of Katowice, because our city is a case study of this challenge. The authors of the 3 best projects will come to the 11th Plenary Session of the World City Forum, which will be held in June in Katowice.
The application consists only in preparing a pitch deck for an innovative idea in accordance with the guidelines. Projects should fit in with the implementation of energy challenges, with particular emphasis on the specificity of Katowice and the transformation that the city is undergoing - especially in the field of energy.

World Urban Forum is a prestigious, international conference organized by the United Nations-Habitat. It is to serve the development of urban areas and human settlements. It is the largest and most important event in the world devoted to urban development, transformation and politics. WUF takes place every two years and hosts thousands of participants who represent a variety of institutions, including: governments, regions, cities, non-governmental organizations and financial institutions. The last edition of the forum took place in 2020 in Abu Dhabi - the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Katowice will host the eleventh edition of the forum.
The World City Forum in Katowice will be held on June 26-30, under the slogan "We are changing our cities for a better future".
