Inauguration of the National IoT Innovation Showroom in Katowice
The Silesian Internet of Things Cluster SINOTAIC inaugurates the first National IoT Innovation Showroom in Katowice.
This unique project on a Polish scale was initiated by the Silesian Internet of Things Cluster SINOTAIC and will be the first cyber-physical space where Polish solutions in the IoT area will be presented, with particular emphasis on technology for Smart City.
The showroom is being created with the support of the City of Katowice, which appreciate the importance of cooperation between the local government and the technology leaders of tomorrow, hence the strengthening of relations with the Cluster as part of a new project.
“Katowice works to support new technologies in many areas. For several years, the city has been developing solutions in the field of smart cities, such as the Katowice Intelligent Monitoring and Analysis System, the AWAIR air quality information system, tracking lighting in parks, or sharing solutions in transport services. I am glad that the result of the national preselection gives the project to create a European Digital Innovation Hub in our city a chance for ultimate success at the European level. The showroom is one of the proposals that will allow you to present the latest offer of technology companies in an attractive way, often addressed to local governments. Such an initiative puts Katowice in the first row of cities open to cooperation with business as part of the ongoing digital revolution "- emphasizes Marcin Krupa, Mayor of Katowice
Cluster members and partners from all over Poland are involved in the implementation of the project. It is worth noting that the cluster was nominated in Poland for the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) as a national specialization hub in the field of IoT / Smart City.
The consortium and its partners will create the first cyber-physical showroom of IoT / Smart City technologies. This is an excellent opportunity, not only for the IoT sector in Poland, to showcase their achievements, but also for local governments and the SME sector, to learn about technological innovations and offered solutions that they can use now. The aim of the National IoT Innovation Showroom is also to integrate technology companies and enable testing of proposed solutions and training.
“Cooperation between local governments and SMEs in the implementation of intelligent technological solutions is the key to the success of Poland's digitization in the coming years. The showroom is not only an achievement of the SINOTAIC Cluster, but also an excellent example that the real cooperation and commitment of partners brings benefits for everyone ”- says Agnieszka Łasut, president of the board of the SINOTAIC Cluster coordinator.
Unlike other initiatives of this type, the National IoT Innovation Showroom will be a cyber-physical space also available remotely, in digital form, which will significantly facilitate access to the technologies presented and extend the availability of the presented solutions to interested parties. Its creation in Katowice will be announced during a conference on digitization in the field of IoT and Smart City. The event will start on 04/27/2021 at 10.00 a.m. Registration for the event takes place through the website of the Municipal Business Incubator in Katowice Rawa.Ink CLICK.
Information will be available on SINOTAIC's social media profiles: LinkedIn, Facebook
