Gdynia hosted representatives of two renowned Taiwanese companies: Chunghwa Telecom, specializing in providing telecommunications services and Taiwania Capital, offering financial support for companies and startups. Their presence in Poland is the result of fruitful cooperation between the City of Gdynia and the Company EXATEL within the cluster Sinotaic, operating in the area IoT&AI.

Gdynia has long been involved in the activities of the SINOTAIC cluster: “ICT is an important sector for Gdynia. As a city, we have been involved in the SINOTAIC cluster for a long time, and cybersecurity issues are important to us. This means that we see many areas of mutually beneficial cooperation," says Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała, vice-president of Gdynia for economy.

Two-day intensive meetings not only enabled the exchange of experiences in the field of cybersecurity and innovative Smart City solutions, but also opened the door to new opportunities for cooperation.

Chunghwa Telecom, as a leader in the field of telecommunications services, brings advanced technologies to the cooperation that can revolutionize the telecommunications infrastructure in Poland. In turn, Taiwania Capital, specializing in financing technology enterprises, can support Polish companies and startups in creating innovative projects.

This partnership agreement lays the foundations for a common future, where technological innovations contribute to the development of the city and its inhabitants.
